I believe that we are constantly evolving throughout our lives; whether we do that consciously and with intention is up to us. As a licensed professional counselor and therapist, it is an honor to enter into someone’s life story to embark on a therapeutic process of transformation together. Whether your intentions are to heal a past hurt or trauma, grieve a loss, or create meaning in the midst of transition, I will join you as a compassionate presence and offer support in a variety of ways:
through traditional talk therapy, coaching, and empowerment
through expressive arts (art, music, sand tray, and other creative techniques)
through mindfulness and contemplative practices
through experiential, embodied movement
Clients are integral partners in devising a therapeutic plan that honors their desired goals and outcomes.
My integrated theory of counseling and psychotherapy combines a humanistic-existential approach with a psychodynamic understanding of the many ways our stressors and experiences manifest in our lives and physical bodies. My work is grounded in a deep reverence for the mind-body connection and how we can utilize this connection to amplify healing processes.
I have specialized training in: expressive arts, play therapy, sand tray therapy, mindfulness, Qoya dance and movement, dialectical behavior therapy, and Psych-K facilitation.
I work with adults, children/adolescents, couples (het and LGBTQ+), families, extra-dyadic partners, and groups.
At this time, I am accepting self-pay via cash, check, or credit card. I will provide an invoice for services rendered to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
