Qoya is an expressive dance and movement practice that incorporates elements of mindfulness, yoga, and dance. Qoya is conceptualized as a contemplative movement practice and a form of mind-body medicine. It is based on a simple idea - through movement, we remember our essence as wise, wild, and free.
Qoya is also a powerful adjunct to mental health treatment, particularly when client goals involve strengthening the mind-body connection and increasing emotional awareness through expressive arts. Qoya offers an outlet for expression and a tool for transformation that draws on the inherent wisdom of the body.
2019 QOYA DANCE & MOVEMENT OFFERINGS
March 2019 is the 10-year Anniversary of the first Qoya class! You are invited to a special Qoya offering to celebrate this milestone. The movement class will last approximately 90 minutes followed by a celebration complete with Qoya birthday cake. Join Qoya Roanoke for this class in honor of Qoya’s birth/creation!
